AI Disclosure

1. What is automated

Substantially everything Pinpoint produces is generated by automated systems, including large language models supplied by third parties. That covers: deciding which divisions apply to a project; extracting scope items from drawings and specifications; matching items to spec sections and cost codes; locating items on sheets; merging duplicates; grouping items into packages; answering questions about your documents; and drafting written scope text.

A person at Grey does not review your project before you see the results.

2. What that means in practice

These systems are useful and they are not reliable in the way a calculator is reliable. Specifically, they can and do:

• ·miss scope items that are present in the documents;
• ·produce items that are not in the documents at all;
• ·misread drawings, schedules, tags, and small or low-quality text;
• ·assign an item to the wrong CSI division or the wrong spec section;
• ·point to the wrong sheet or the wrong location on a sheet;
• ·merge two genuinely different items, or split one item into two;
• ·quantify, describe or qualify an item incorrectly;
• ·answer a question about your documents incorrectly while sounding certain;
• ·produce different results for the same document set on a different run.

Confidence scores and recommendation flags in the application rank one result against another. They do not indicate that a result is correct, and a high score is not a verification.

3. What we are asking you to agree to

You will review Pinpoint's output against the actual project documents before relying on it — before submitting a bid, signing a contract, ordering materials, or building anything.

Pinpoint's output is a draft prepared to save you time, not an estimate, a bid, a takeoff of record, or a substitute for your professional judgement. Responsibility for what you submit remains entirely yours.

Grey is not liable for losses arising from unverified output — including underbids, overbids, missed scope, scope that does not exist, and contracts entered into on the strength of it. This is set out in full in the Terms of Service.

4. Where your documents go

To do any of this, the contents of your documents are sent to third-party AI providers for processing. Our Privacy Policy describes them, and we will name them on request. Neither we nor they use your documents to train AI models.
